Q: What are Model Generation Credits, and how do they work?
Generation credits are used to power our AI forge and craft 3D models on the website. Each time you create a character from an image or a text description, a specific amount of credits will be consumed based on complexity:
- Text-to-3D: 30 credits
- Image-to-3D: 30 credits
- Regenerate: 30 credits
Q: Do I need credits to print physical miniatures or download 3D files?
No! Credits are exclusively used for model generation. The creation system and the physical printing system operate independently. Printing does not consume any credits. Once you generate and choose a design, you simply place an order, and our studio will manufacture your custom physical miniature. Furthermore, downloading your generated 3D files is completely free and costs zero credits.
Q: Which 3D file formats are supported for downloading?
You can freely download your generated models in standard industry formats including .STL, .GLB, and .OBJ. This makes it effortless to use them for home 3D printing, digital editing, or importing into virtual tabletop platforms.
Q: What subscription plans are available, and which one fits me best?
We offer both Monthly and Annual subscription plans divided into three tiers:
- Starter: Designed for casual creators and solo adventurers taking their first steps.
- Pro: The ultimate choice for active TTRPG players who build characters regularly.
- Studio: Tailored for game masters, artists, and power users crafting entire armies.

🎨 Chapter II: Printing Quality & Specifications
Q: What printing technology do you use, and how high is the print quality?
We utilize PolyJet technology powered by industrial-grade J850 Digital Anatomy 3D Printers. With an ultra-fine resolution of up to 50µm and layer thickness as low as 14µm, every armor texture, hair strand, and facial detail is captured with extraordinary precision.
We offer millions of vibrant colors with smooth gradients, locked in through photopolymer curing for long-lasting durability. Moreover, our miniatures use water-soluble support materials that dissolve automatically after printing. This leaves a silky-smooth surface with no manual clipping or sanding required—making your miniature ready for the tabletop right out of the box!
Q: What scale are the miniatures, and can I customize the base?
All Thorns Tavern custom miniatures are crafted in the classic 32mm Heroic Scale with a standard 1-inch (1") base. This ensures a strong tabletop presence and full compatibility with mainstream TTRPG systems.
While base customization is currently undergoing magical refinement in our workshop, we will introduce customizable bases and additional scale options in future updates!
📦 Chapter III: Fulfillment, Shipping & Legal Guidelines
Q: How long does production and shipping take?
Once you confirm your final design on our website, precision production takes approximately 2 to 4 weeks, after which your physical miniature will be shipped. Orders are processed strictly by chronological priority. While high initial volume during launch may cause slight delays for a few parcels, our expanding production capacity will continually shorten delivery times.
Q: How can I use my downloaded 3D models?
Your models are yours to enjoy! You can set your models as private or public. For personal, non-commercial use (such as tabletop games, personal collection, or display), you hold full personal rights. If you choose to make your model public, it will be shared under the CC BY 4.0 license.
Q: Will you use my uploaded images or models to train AI?
No. Your uploads are strictly used to generate your specific models and manufacture your physical products. Unless you explicitly opt-in, we will never use your data for AI training or share it externally.
Q: Can I upload famous copyrighted characters or existing IPs?
No. Please only submit original creations or content you have official rights to use. If an upload poses infringement risks, we reserve the right to decline production or suggest modifying it into an original setting.
